Substitute Ordinance

WHEREAS, on November 26, 2013 the City Council of the City of Chicago adopted an ordinance entitled "Submission of Final Statement of Objectives and Projected Use of Funds for Community Development Block Grant Year XL, as Amended" (the "Year XL CDBG Ordinance"); and

WHEREAS, The City, through the Mayor's Office For People With Disabilities, desires to reallocate $37,000 in funding under Independent Living for Disabled Persons that was originally awarded to Help At Home, Inc. an Illinois for-profit corporation, and reallocate it to Salvation Army Family & Community Services, an Illinois not-for-profit corporation; and,

WHEREAS, The City, through the Department of Planning and Development, desires to use an increase in program income in the amount of $393,257 that has become available due to the receipt of foreclosure or repayment of heat receiver liens, for that Department's Heat Receivership Program; now, therefore,


BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. The above recitals are expressly incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance.

SECTION 2. The Year XL CDBG Ordinance, as amended, is hereby further amended by striking the words and figures and adding the words and figures indicated in Exhibit A attached hereto.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.
