RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in 1980, Andrea (Angie) Ryniec began her career at the r' V Chicago Park District; and
WHEREAS, Angie first started as a summer recreation leader at Gage Park and also worked in the Therapeutic Recreation Department for three years.
WHEREAS, due to her hard work and dedication, Ms. Ryniec was promoted to the following positions over the years: year-round recreation leader, physical instructor (Wentworth and West Lawn Park), playground supervisor (Strohacker Park); gymnastic specialist (citywide); and park supervisor (Pasteur Park).
WHEREAS, in her position as recreation specialist, Angie has excelled at instructing gymnastics, preschool classes, Moms & Tots programs, organizing leagues, and Day Camp programs, just to name a few. Angie credits her success to loving what she does, the incredible parents and children she has had the pleasure of serving and educating, and her illustrious coworkers and supportive organization, the Chicago Park District. This career path has enabled Angie to cultivate life-long friendships.
WHEREAS, Ms. Ryniec has been the Park Supervisor at Pasteur Park since 1999, where her success can be attributed to her ability to communicate and develop relationships with all the relevant parties, including park patrons, community leaders, elected officials, Park District staff, and then, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of Chicago City Council gathered here this twenty-ninth day of July, 2015, extend our heartfelt gratitude to Andrea (Angie) Ryniec for her 31 1/4 years of dedication and service to the Chicago Park District and to the people of the City of Chicago.
