RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Patricia Ann Hayes has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 84 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Ann Hayes, lifelong resident of the South Side of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood. Loving mother of Kevin (Lisa) Hayes; cherished grandmother of Bridget and Liam Hayes; also survived by her beloved cats; and
WHEREAS, Patricia was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Gabriel Church. She was very proud of her past jobs at U of C, where she assisted with the Nuclear Fission Project and HT with the Space Project. More recently she was an archivist with the Federal Reserve Bank before retirement. Patricia enjoyed walking throughout the neighborhood and knitting; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Patricia Ann Hayes to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-six of January 2022, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Patricia and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia.
