Resolution Honoring Jim Kelly
WHEREAS, The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce gives its annual Frank Hasner Member Momentum Award to honor an individual who is an active member of the LPCC, and who participates in at least one committee or work group, attends LPCC events regularly and volunteers for a variety of initiatives. This award goes to an individual member who shows dedication to the LPCC and enthusiastically communicates the benefits of membership to prospects, fellow members and the community at-large; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce in February, 2009, Jim Kelly has shown a passion for involvement and dedication to the organization. Attending more than 30 events in two years, including as event sponsor for the "Professional Growth" Coffee Connection, Kelly's enthusiastic approach to chamber membership and networking is evident; and
WHEREAS, Currently, Kelly sits on the LPCC's Board of Directors as well as the Government Affairs and Governance Committees. Through the Board and committee involvement, Kelly has shared his experience with entrepreneurs, CEOs and as a lobbyist to help drive the strategic direction of the LPCC; and
WHEREAS, Kelly's business, Real Leaders Lead Business Coaching, is dedicated to executive development and small business coaching.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this 4th day of May, 2011 do hereby congratulate Jim Kelly on receiving the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce 2011 Frank Hasner Member Momentum Award, and thank her for her efforts on behalf of the City of Chicago and the Lincoln Park Community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Jim Kelly.
