RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Eugene G. Petit to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Eugene G. Pettit, 86. Beloved husband of Barbara Lee (nee Dietz). Loving pops of the late Patrick, the late Michael, Robert (Denise), Edward (Laura), Dennis, Barbaragene (Frank), and John (Jessica). Proud grandpa of Jessica, Malissa, Garrett, Philip (Karla), Crystal (Jeremiah), Jessica, Julianne, the late Nicole, Jeremy, Jason, and Jemma. Proud great-grandpa of Taylor, Seth, Kylie, Caprice, Bella, Andria, Jasmine, Grace, and Zoe. Eugene G. Petit leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe Chicago City Council gathered here this fifth day of November, 2014, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Eugene G. Petit and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
