RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Francis P. Maher to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Francis P. Maher,82, passed into eternal rest on April 8, 2020. Francis was a lifetime resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago - of Clearing neighborhood. Beloved husband of the late Karen L. Klocko Maher; devoted father of Francis (Margaret) Maher, Julie (Chris) Bania and the late Kellie T. Maher; loving grandfather of Ronald (Bonnie), Caylie (Kyle), Francis, Evan, Robert, Michael, Richard and Nicholas; fond great grandfather of many; dear brother of James Maher; fond brother-in-law of Walter "Ike" (Diane) Klocko and the late Bruce (late Terry) Klocko; fond uncle of Felix, Benjamin, Patrick, Margaret and Maureen; and
WHERAS, Francis was a proud Leo graduate, class of 1957 and a Chicago Police Officer for 16 years; and
WHEREAS; Francis P. Maher leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this twenty-second day of April, 2020, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Francis P. Maher and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the family of Francis P. Maher.
