TRIBUTE TO THE LIFE OF COREY DONYEL HUDSON

WHEREAS, On Friday, July 4, 2014, Almighty God, in His Infinite Wisdom, has called Corey Donyel Hudson, a devoted Christian, husband and friend to all, to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, Corey Donyel was born October 5, 1979 in Oak Park, Illinois to his loving parents, Mary Jean and Edward Hudson. He was their second child of four children that blessed the Hudson Family. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and gave praise and thanks to the Lord on a daily basis. In 2007 he received his Associates Degree in Liberal Studies. He was employed with the L.A. Fitness and also worked as a bouncer during the evenings. He established Lafayette's Transportation Company and joining World Ventures; and

WHEREAS, Corey Donyel Hudson and Kristel were united in marriage and to this union they are expecting their first child in December, but Corey was also a loving and devoted step-father; and

WHEREAS, Corey Donyel Hudson leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his life, his beloved wife, Kristel; step-son, Lafayette, Jr. and "Baby Kali"; loving mother, Mary Jean Hudson; grandmother, Violet Spells; brothers, Edward Hudson (Letoya) and Lamar Hudson; sister, Lashanda (Jeffery) Lee; uncles, Hudson Spells, Jr., Veretch (Hannetta) Hudson, Lawrence (Tina) Mayo, Calvin (Annie) Hudson and Michael Hudson; aunts, Sarah Spells, Mary J. (Kenneth, Sr.) Lyle, Geneva Barnett and Sue Ann (Paul) Mcintosh; nieces, Shani, Janiah, Al'yana and Dariayle; nephews, Tramon and Brennen; father-in-law, Kenneth Page ; two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives and many friends. His father, Edward Hudson and grandparents, Hudson Spells and V. and Bernice Hudson preceded him in death; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Toni Foulkes, Alderman of the 15th Ward, has informed this august body of the passing of this noteworthy and caring man; now therefore,
