CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO 007th DISTRICT POLICE OFFICER LENWOOD CROSS ON RETIREMENT FROM CHICAGO POLICE
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Police Officer Lenwood Cross , Star #29450, retired from the Chicago Police Department on October 31, 2015, following twenty-nine years of dedicated public service; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed ofthis special event by Toni L. Foulkes, Alderman of the 16th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his long and distinguished tenure, Officer Cross upheld the finest traditions of the law enforcement community and his hard work, commitment and dedication to duty earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues; and
WHEREAS, Officer Cross is a valued member of the 007th Police District community and his presence will be sorely missed. He has earned the respect not only of his colleagues, but also of the grateful residents of the 007lh District; and
WHEREAS, The leaders of this great City of Chicago are cognizant ofthe great debt owed our public servants; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered this twenty eighth day of October 2015, do hereby express our gratitude and heartiest congratulations to 007th District Police Officer Lenwood Cross as he retires from twenty-nine years of outstanding service to the people of this great city and we extend our very best wishes for his continued success and fulfillment; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be prepared and presented to Officer Lenwood Cross.
