A City Council Resolution Honoring the Life of

Harold Lloyd

 

 

 

WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom and judgment has called Harold Lloyd, an outstanding citizen of the City of Chicago, to his everlasting reward, and he recently returned to the heavenly realm on May 21, 2021; and

 

WHEREAS, Harold Lloyd was born on June 3, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois to Connie Bell and Charles Lloyd; and

 

WHEREAS, Harold Lloyd graduated from Harper High School and shortly after, attended Eastern Illinois University where he studied the Arts;

 

WHEREAS, Harold began his 19 year career for Cook County Government in 1989, adopting a multitude of career paths. From the floor technician at Cook County Hospital, to Administrative Assistant at the Sheriffs Department and fulfilled his many roles with dedication and made a bunch of friends along the way; and

 

WHEREAS, In 1991, Harold met his best friend, April Jones. The two married in 1994 and wont on the raise four loving children; and

 

WHEREAS, He is survived by his wife of 28 years (April Lloyd), his only daughter, Brittni Lloyd, Harold Lloyd, Jr., Joal Lloyd, and Patrick Hill; a granddaughter Aaliyah Hill and his brother, Mario Lloyd. A host of cousins, nieces and nephews are here on earth to celebrate and remember LiF Harold; and

 

WHEREAS, Harold's sunny demeanor, larger than life attitude and infectious laugh will be dearly missed; and

 

THEREFORE, Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, do hereby express our deep sorrow on the passing of Harold Lloyd and extend to his family our sincere condolences; and
