CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO 07th DISTRICT POLICE OFFICER JOSEPH CLARKE ON RETIREMENT FROM CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Joseph Clarke joined the police force on December 7, 1992 and retired from the Chicago Police Department on January 08, 2013, following Twenty years of dedicated public service; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this special event by the Honorable Jo Ann Thompson, Alderman of the 16th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his long and distinguished tenure, Joseph Clarke received 2 honorable mentions. He upheld the finest traditions of the law enforcement community and his hard work, commitment and dedication to duty earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Clarke devoted Twenty years of his life in service to the people of the City of Chicago and in doing so has personally ensured the City of Chicago is the healthy and vibrant community it is today, and
WHEREAS, Officer Clarke, Star #45874, is a valued member ofthe 07th Police District community and his presence will be sorely missed. He has earned the respect not only of his colleagues, but also of the grateful residents of the 07th District; and
WHEREAS, The leaders of this great City of Chicago are cognizant of the great debt owed our public servants; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered this eleventh day of December 2013, do hereby express our gratitude and heartiest congratulations to 07th District Police Officer Joseph Clarke as he retires from Twenty years of outstanding service to the people of this great city and we extend our very best wishes for his continued success and fulfillment; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Joseph Clarke.
