This report is filed pursuant to Municipal Code Section 2-57-110, which requires the filing of quarterly reports. This quarterly report provides information for the period October 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013. The information contained in this report is accurate as of January 15, 2014. Quarterly Overview
IPRA initiated 375 investigations during the final quarter of 2013. This includes the 77 investigations resulting from notifications of a Taser discharge. IPRA responded to 5 officer-involved shootings during the third quarter of 2013.
IPRA closed 632 investigations during the last quarter. This number is down slightly from the third quarter. IPRA was successful in interviewing and filling one of the preciously 5 vacant Investigator positions. IPRA continues to work with the Mayor's Office and Budget Office to...
