MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of the Honorable William Robert Quinlan, on October 1, 2013; at the age of 73; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, The William Quinlan, born on November 7, 1939, was an active and vital member of his community. The beloved husband of Colleen (nee Stanton) and the late Jane (nee Phelan); loving father of William John (Lisa) Quinlan, Erin (Joseph) Kraft, Kathleen Anne, Colleen Elizabeth, Kevin Francis, Matthew Stanton and the late Patrick Charles Quinlan; dear grandfather of Billy and Jane Quinlan, J. Patrick and Parker Kraft; devoted son of the late William Edward and Josephine Anne Quinlan, William Robert Quinlan leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, William Quinlan will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this sixteenth day of October 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of William Robert Quinlan and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
