Congratulations To Trans Tech Social Enterprises for New Uptown Office and Success

 

 

Whereas, TransTech Social Enterprises' mission is to empower, educate, and employ those facing barriers in education and in the work place; and

 

 

Whereas, TransTech's mission is to reduce instances of discrimination, with a concentration on trans and gender non-conforming individuals; and

 

 

Whereas, TransTech is a creative design firm that provides graphics, web development, and multimedia production; and

 

 

Whereas, TransTech's training academy teaches the same skills they offer in services, as well as workshops, leadership training and corporate competency training; and

 

 

Whereas, TransTech offers services through a team of professionals, educators, and apprentices; and

 

 

Whereas, any customer that hires TransTech is directly empowering their apprentices not only through career-building experiences but also financially; and

 

 

Whereas, Angelica Ross, founding CEO of TransTech Social Enterprises, has made a career over the span of over 10 years by helping others navigate the challenges that come along with being a member of more than one minority; now, therefore,

 

 

Be it resolved, that we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this 24th day of September, 2015, do hereby commend TransTech Social Enterprises for its tremendous contributions to trans and non-gender conforming individuals and for providing career opportunities for those communities and do hereby extend to TransTech Social Enterprises our best wishes for continued success; and

 

 

Be it further resolved, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Board of Directors as a token of our appreciation and esteem.
