City Council Meeting June 27, 2018
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Rabbi Aryeh L. Raitzik and his wife, Aryeh L. Raitzik, are lifelong Chicagoans, born and raised in Chicago, and have been residents ofthe 40th Ward of Chicago since 1964; and
WHEREAS, Both Rabbi and Mrs. Raitzik have dedicated their lives toward shaping the lives of children, with Mrs. Raitzik having taught in the Chicago Public School system and suburbs for many years, and Rabbi Raitzik teaching at the Arie Crown Hebrew Day School of Skokie for 54 years; and
WHEREAS, There are few professions that can help shape the lives of children as teaching does and Rabbi Raitzik has taught hundreds, in fact several generations, of students over the last 54 years and is to be commended for his untiring commitment to working with children; and
WHEREAS, After 54 years with the Arie Crown Hebrew Day School, Rabbi Raitzik has retired from the school, and was honored at a dinner at the Palmer House Hilton on June 18, 2018; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-seventh day of June, 2018, do hereby express our gratitude and sincerest congratulations to Rabbi Raitzik and wish him all good things in his well-deserved retirement; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be prepared and presented to Rabbi Raitzik.
