MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Chester J. Klich, born December 11, 1922, was called by God to his eternal reward on July 17, 2011, at the age of 88; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Chester J. Klich, a World War II Veteran, was an active and vital member of his community. The loving husband of the late Rita (nee Stempowski); dear father of Robert S. (CPD) (Roberto), the late Eugene (CPD) (Karen), and Chester M. Klich; former father-in-law of Sharon Haffner; fond grandfather of Rebecca (David), Mark (Sheila), Dennis (Sherri), and Amy (Robert); great-grandfather of Riley, Anna, Brody, and Toby; cherished companion of Buster and Corky; Chester J. Klich leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Chester J. Klich will be deeply missed, but)the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-eighth day of July, 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Chester J. Klich and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chester J. Klich.
