CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO MR. ROBERT FITZGERALD ON HIS
EIGHTIETH BIRTHDAY.
WHEREAS, on Sunday, May 22, 2011, family members and many friends were in attendance at the Sauganash home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fitzgerald in celebration of Mr. Robert Fitzgerald's eightieth birthday; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this milestone by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Fitzgerald, born eighty years ago remains a most beloved figure to all who know him. Robert, together with his wife Paula, have been residents of the Sauganash area since 1965, and have been in their current home in Sauganash since 1970; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Fitzgerald, a well known Union Attorney and Arbitrator and currently a Senior Counselor, does arbitration and volunteer work; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Fitzgerald is a past President ofthe Sauganash Community Association. And during his tenure the Association was able to acquire a gymnasium addition for Sauganash park; and
WHEREAS, Symbolic ofthe strength and solidity of family life, Robert and his Paula were united in holy matrimony, sharing their love and devotion for forty-seven years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Fitzgerald, the charming octogenarian, is the loving father of three sons: Jim, Brian and Rob; and grandfather of seven; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Fitzgerald is a devoted father, grandfather and cherished friend of many and richly deserves the warm and fond wishes of his many family members and friends as he marks his eightieth birthday; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-eighth day of July, 2011, do hereby extend to Mr. Robert Fitzgerald our best and happiest wishes upon the occasion of his eightieth birthday; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Mr. Robert Fitzgerald.
