RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Place for Children with Autism has been making a meaningful impact in the lives of many Chicagoans and their families; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Daniel Solis, Alderman of the 25th Ward, has apprised this august body ofthis organization's achievements; and
WHEREAS, The Place for Children with Autism opened Centers for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in Pilsen, Mount Greenwood, Portage Park and Old Irving Park to provide therapy for children with autism; and
WHEREAS, In November 2017, The Place for Children with Autism opened The Autism Family Center/El Centra Familiar de Autismo in Pilsen as a resource center for families with children with autism; and
WHEREAS, Last month the organization started the Chicago Autism Helpline as a resource for Chicagoans; and
WHEREAS, The Place for Children with Autism has provided invaluable services for children with autism in Chicago, regardless of income level; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council, gathered together this 17th day of January, 2018, do hereby recognize the significant contributions of The Place for Children with Autism.
