RESOLUTION MOURNING THE PASSING OF MARY ELLEN "LAL: FELDMAN

 

WHEREAS, On Thursday, July 23, 2015, God, in his infinite wisdom, called his daughter, Mary Ellen "Lai" Feldman home suddenly; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary Ellen, known as "Lai" to all who knew and loved her, was born in the Canaryville community of the 11th Ward, to Alfred and Mary Robin, and was the dearest sister to Denise, Jack, Rich, Ray, Teree, and the late Sally: and

 

WHEREAS, She was a member of St. Gabriel parish, where she had attended grammar school; and after graduating from Mercy High School, Lai had married Joe Feldman, moved to the St. Bede Parish and then to the Naperville community; and

 

WHEREAS, Lai, along with being a wonderful wife and friend to her husband, Joe, was a loving, caring and nurturing mother to her children: Joseph, Mary Carole, Margaret Ann, Colleen, Michaeline, and Timothy Michael; and

 

WHEREAS, That love extended on to her children's spouses and her thirty-three grandchildren who will miss her kindness, caring, and loving ways, and will cherish the many great memories of her; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary Ellen "Lai" Feldman was a avid White Sox fan who was kind and welcoming to everyone who she had met; and

 

WHEREAS, The entire 11th Ward community joins in mourning the unexpected passing of our dear friend, Mary Ellen "Lai" Feldman, and express our condolences to her entire family, friends, and members of the Bridgeport News, the staple publication in the Bridgeport community for so many years; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, do hereby extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Mary Ellen "Lai" Feldman during this most difficult time, along with warm wishes for remembering and sharing her love for all; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be made available to the Feldman family. J«tM:lt
