WHEREAS,. The members ofthe City Council of Chicago wish to recognize the many accomplishments and the passing of Michael Laube; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Laube departed this present life on Sunday, January 2, 2022; and

 

WHEREAS, The City Council has been notified of his passing by The Honorable Marry Osterman, Alderman of the 48th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Laube was a beloved husband who met his. wife of over 2 decades during his time studying at Northern Illinois University; and

 

WHEREAS, He was known as a supportive father who enjoyed sharing his passion for music and sports with his two sons, and cherished lime playing ping-pong, laser tag, and go-karling with them; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Laube was a coach for the Riverside youth baseball, basketball, and soccer teams and for the Bcrwyn Bombers lacrosse team; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Laube was a dedicated parishioner ofthe Evangelical Lutheran Bethel Congregational Church, where he served as the Assistant Pastor and shared his enthusiasm for music as an organist and pianist; and

 

WHEREAS, He was a longtime fan ofthe Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks; and

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members ofthe City Council oflhe City of

 

do hereby express our sorrow on the death

Chicago, gathered here this day of March 23rd, 2022

 

of Mr. Laube, and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be printed to the family of Mr. Laube as a token of our sympathy.
