Resolution
WHEREAS, Father Michael F. Flynn, an outstanding spiritual leader and a life long member of his community, Fr. Flynn was ordained a priest in 1961 and is celebrating his 50 year anniversary of his ordination; and
WHEREAS, Father Michael F. Flynn was born on December 2,1935, in Chicago, Illinois to Michael Joseph and Mary Ellen (Lydon) Flynn. Fr. Michael Flynn was the fourth child of ten children; and
WHEREAS, Father Michael F. Flynn received a B.A. in Philosophy at St. Bonaventure University in 1958, a B.S. in Mathematics at St. Bonaventure University in 1960, a M.A. in Psychology at De Paul University in 1966, and a Ph. D in Clinical Psychology at Loyola University of Chicago in 1974; and
WHEREAS, among Father Michael F. Flynn's accomplishments ,are many publications, affiliations and awards. International Society of Hypnosis Newsletter, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis Newsletter, American Psychological Association, Illinois Group Psychotherapy Association, American Academy of Pain Manage, American Board of Psychological Hypnosis, and a recipient of the Irving Sector Award for Exceptional Service to the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, to name a few; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable James A. Balcer, Alderman ofthe 11th Ward has apprised this august body of the significant milestone achieved by Father Michael F. Flynn; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and the members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago assembled this 13th Day of April in 2011 A.D., do hereby salute Father Michael F. Flynn for his dedication and exemplary work and extend our very best wishes for his health, happiness and success in all his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Father Michael F. Flynn
