MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Aaron Schmidt, born on April 27,1939, was called by God to his eternal reward on July 24, 2011, at the age of 77; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Aaron Schmidt was an active and vital member of his community. The beloved husband of Judy (nee Ginsburg); loving father of Philip (Nancy), Robert (Natasha), and David (Jody); proud grandfather of Alison, Andrew, Adena, Noa, Harrison, and the future Aaron, who is due to be born imminently; Aaron Schmidt leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Aaron Schmidt was the founder/owner of The Package House (TPH Global Solutions); and
WHEREAS, Aaron Schmidt, a founding member of Baruch Dayan HaEmet, was a truly beloved man in his community; and
WHEREAS, Aaron Schmidt will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-eighth day of July 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Aaron Schmidt and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Aaron Schmidt.
