RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, In March of 2013 Mayor Rahm Emanuel established a small business center in Chicago to help small business owners solve problems, get appropriately licensed and cut delays in city inspections; and

WHEREAS, Mayor Rahm Emanuel appointed Roxanne Nava as the Chief Small Business Officer of the small business center; and

WHEREAS, the small business center has been developing resources for neighborhood business development associations such as chambers of commerce, economic development corporations and community centers; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, The Commissioner of the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection , the Chief Small Business Officer Roxanne Nava, and other representatives of the department are invited to appear before the Committee on Finance to provide an update on programs available, changes and procedures and communication with agencies and Aldermanic offices.
