MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Gloria Sari was called to her eternal reward on February 13, 2013, at the age of 89; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, The beloved wife ofthe late David; loving mother of Grace (George) Winograd, Louis (Kim), Anthony (Nancy), Marianne (Jeff) Fitch and Peter (Juanita); dearest grandmother of thirteen; great-grandmother of three; dear sister of the late Mina Benigni; beloved daughter ofthe late Luigi and Marianna, Gloria leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, As President of the Friendly Neighbors Club and Past President of St. Anne Sodality, Gloria Sari was an active and vital member of her community; and
WHEREAS, Gloria Sari will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirteenth day of March 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Gloria Sari and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gloria Sari.
