City Council January 27th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Carl Demma has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 84 to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman ofthe 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Carl Demma; beloved husband of 60 years to Jacqueline nee Di Caro; loving father of Anthony (Deborah) Demma and Jacqueline (Peter) Sallas; cherished grandfather of Jordan, Lauren, Samantha and the late Cody; devoted son of the late Petrina and late Anthony Demma; dear brother of Bobby Demma, late Nina (late Frank) Del Russo and the late Theresa (late Carl) Barone; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Carl to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of
Chicago gathered here this twenty seventh of January 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the
v death of Carl Demma and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Patrick D. Thompson Alderman, 11th Ward
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carl Demma.
