RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite Wisdom has called Elizabeth Kothanek to her eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, "Betty" (nee Cuculi), age 92, was the loving mother of Joan (Louis) VEIIos, Karen Pontillo, and Linda (the late James) Carrig, caring grandmother of Richard and the late Edward McGinnis, Kimberly (Kris) Bennett, Tina Pontillo, James (Adriana), Ryan (Lisa), Kevin (Jessica) and Craig Carrig, and the loving great-grandmother of nine. Elizabeth Kothanek leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this sixth day of July 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Elizabeth Kothanek and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Elizabeth Kothanek.
