RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Mario KJ. Pecuia has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 41 to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Mario KJ. Pecina, beloved son of Davon Johnson, Sr. and Hope Pecina; loving brother of Davon "Pecwee" (Kenena) Johnson, Jr., Kelton Johnson, Anthony Arnold, and Octavia B. Johnson; cherished grandson of Kelly L. Johnson and Lois McGruder, the late Raul Pecina, and the late Consuelo Pecina; fond nephew of Cassandra Nunez, Ala, Leta (Derrick) Bassett, Stephanie (Estcvan) Lewis-Bennett, Jeffery Johnson, Eric (Theresa) Johnson, Aunt Rosie, Evangeline (John) Diaz, Daniel (Patricia), Pecina, Albert (Nicholas) Peeing and the late Benito Contreres, Jr.; fond godson of Amaury Diaz; treasured ^ (Luis), Pamela (Rushawn), Marcelb, Pablo, Jacob, Mya, Sole, Gigi, Tati, Sky, and Santi, Jennifer, Sabrina (Jerry), JJ, Nunie (Lisa), Jessica, and Jacqueline; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, Mario was a lifetime resident of the South Side of Chicago- of Garfield Ridge neighborhood, bom and raised, longtime resident of Canaryyillc neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and" ability to> live-it to the fullest endeared Mario to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of 'Chicago gathered here this twenty first of April 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Mario KJ. Pecina and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mario KJ. Pecina.
