RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Peter H. Nutley has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 91; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Peter H. Nutley was a widely admired member of the law enforcement community and the loving husband of the late Mary, nee D'Arco; and
WHEREAS, Peter H. Nutley was the much-adored father of Ann, Charles, Mary, Debbie and the late Peter, the grandfather of thirteen and the great-grandfather of fifteen to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, Peter H. Nutley was the dear brother of the late Rose, Dorothy, Elaine and JoAnne; and
WHEREAS, A member of our nation's "Greatest Generation," Peter H. Nutley bravely served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II; and
WHEREAS, Peter H. Nutley enjoyed a long and highly distinguished career with the Chicago Police Department and retired with the rank of Lieutenant; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Peter H. Nutley upheld the finest and most noble traditions of public service; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Peter H. Nutley serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Peter H. Nutley to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, Peter H. Nutley was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Peter H. Nutley imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
