RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite Wisdom has called Janet M. Slachta to her eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Beloved Wife of 35 years to Jerome; Loving Mom of Jennifer (Jeff) Canty; Devoted B-Ma of Stephanie and Madelyn; Cherished Daughter of Richard and the late Marion; Loving Sister of Robert, Judy and the late Donald and Sister-ln-Law of Connie (Ken) Ross; Special Aunt of Bryan and Joey (Liz), Geno (Debbie), Dawn (Andy), Rosie, Wanda (Jerry), Julie, Rob and many great nieces and nephews. Janet M. Slachta leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this thirteenth day of February, 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Janet M. Slachta and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Janet M. Slachta.
