SALUTE TO THE TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF BASH ON WABASH
WHEREAS, The preservation of both the history and culture of our great city is one of paramount importance, so as to leave behind for future generations a framework from which to learn and create a better future for all; and
WHEREAS, This year marks the Ten Year Anniversary for the Bash On Wabash, whose goal is bringing neighbors and businesses alike, from near and far, to a festival that showcases the beauty, creativity, history and culture of the South Loop; and
WHEREAS, This festival showcases a variety of musical acts, arts and crafts, as well as many local vendor booths from the South Loop area; and
WHEREAS, Proceeds from the event benefit the Greater South Loop Association as well as the South Loop Food Pantry; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City of Chicago City Council, gathered together this 24lh Day of July, 2013 AD, do hereby salute the 10th anniversary of the Bash on Wabash and express our gratitude for their assistance in preserving the rich culture and history of the City of Chicago.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Gail Rutkowski of the Greater South Loop Association.
