CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO MAYFAIR LUTHERAN CHURCH ON

EIGHTIETH ANNIVERSARY.

WHEREAS, On Sunday, February 6, 2011, the Mayfair Lutheran Church community gathered for a brunch in celebration of their eightieth anniversary; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this occasion by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Mayfair Lutheran Church was incorporated on February 4, 1931, at which time twenty-one adults and ten children formed the worship group and Sunday School. Over the decades, Mayfair Lutheran Church has flourished and grown into a congregation that is committed to the Mayfair community and its neighborhood associations; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this ninth day of February, 2011, do hereby congratulate Mayfair Lutheran Church on their eightieth anniversary and extend our best wishes for continued success and achievement; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Mayfair Lutheran Church.
