CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO THE HONORABLE TOSHIYUKIIWADO, CONSUL-GENERAL OF JAPAN ON COMPLETING HIS ASSIGNMENT IN CHICAGO

WHEREAS, The Honorable Toshiyuki Iwado, Consul-General of Japan, has completed his assignment in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of this special occasion by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Consul-General Iwado strived to enhance friendship and exchange between Japan and the Midwest for the past two years, during which he met with esteemed colleagues of the Consular Corps, dedicated government officials and various civil servants; and

WHEREAS, Honorable Toshiyuki Iwado, Consul-General of Japan in Chicago has worked tirelessly during his tenure in Chicago and will be leaving the Midwest to assume a new position; now, therefore;

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and the members of the City Council of Chicago gathered here this twenty-second day of February 2017, do hereby congratulate and send our appreciation to the Honorable Toshiyuki Iwado, Consul-General of Japan in Chicago, and extend our best wishes for his continuing success; and
