WHEREAS, On May 16, 2017, Police Officer Ursula Harris retired from the Chicago Police Department following twenty years of dedicated public service; and

Department -"We Serve and Protect" - exacts a substantial physical and emotional toll not only
on the officers who must daily cope with the stress and danger of being life's arbitrator for

WHEREAS, Throughout a long and distinguished tenure, Officer Ursula Harris upheld . the finest traditions of law enforcement community and her hard work, commitment and . dedication to duty earned her the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the communities she protected; and " V'-/
WHEREAS; Police Officer Ursula Harris devoted twenty years of her life in public ' service to the people of the City of Chicago and in doing so has personally ensured that the City of Chicago is the safe, healthy and vibrant community it is today; and
