Whereas, while negative stories grab our attention, there are many unspoken, yet wonderful things happening in Chicago every day.

 

Whereas, the cover story in the August 18, 2016 issue of Time Magazine focused on the high amount of aggression and violence that is promoted with the growing rate of negative posts made on social media.

Whereas, both adults and children benefit from hearing about the unspoken brave and charita-ble acts of Chicagoans that keep us thankful about our great city.

 

Whereas, social media stories that have a balance of the great things that many Chicagoans do will give us a better outlook on life and make us become more charitable and kind toward one another.

 

Whereas, hearing good things about everyday Chicagoans help motivate us to work toward a stronger and better Chicago.

 

Whereas, there are many Chicagoans who do great things for others and for their community, recognizing their efforts encourages us all to be better citizens.

they want to highlight a positive event that makes them proud to be a Chicagoan.
