RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, William" Henry Callaghan has been called to eternal life "by the wisdom of \Gbd at'the age of 93; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago.;City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward-M: Burke; and
WHEREAS, WilliamJHenry Callaghan was the loving husband for 65 years of Maxine, nee Rosano; and
WHEREAS, William ^Henry Callaghan was the ^muchr.adored father,of Diana, William, Mary Ann, Elaine "and Patricia ,and the grandfather of thirteen and "the great-grandfather of five to whom he irhparted rhany^ of the fine and noble qualities that he possesseddn abundance; and
WHEREAS, William Henry Callaghan was the dear and devoted brother of Ann, Francisrand Robert; and
WHEREAS, A man of strorig faith/William Henry. Callaghan was a retired second-generation co-owner of the Henry Brothers Company which built many Catholic schools^ and churches throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, During'World War IlV William;iHen^ Callaghan served as a Flight; Engineer-in the United States Army Air'Corps; ariei
WHEREAS, William 'Henry Callaghan' bravelyilew^l-3 dangerous missions oyer the Himalaya Mountain Range, transporting high-octane-gasoline from India to China; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and- dedication" of. William Henry Callaghan serve as an example to all;- and
WHEREAS, His love/" of life and ability to live it. to the fullest endeared William-' Heniy ^Calla'ghan to his" family members, friends and- all who knew him, and^enabledfhjim to enrich their liyesTih ways' they'will never forget; and
WHEREAS, William'Henry' Callaghan was an -individual bf great integrity and accomplishment-who will be, dearly misse'dtarid fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
