RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Ms. Christine Belpedio-Fosco has always had a passion for dance. Having Shirley Temple as a role model she began dancing at the age of 6 years old. Ms. Christine performed professionally throughout the Chicagoland area with a dance troupe called "The Entertainers", was a former Honey Bear Dancer for the Chicago Bears, Taught Dance for Notre Dame H.S. for girls for over 10 years. Ms. Christine is a certified Member of Dance Educators of America; and,
WHEREAS, In 1978, Ms. Christine decided to open her own studio, the Christine Belpedio's School of Dance in the heart of Belmont-Cragin community. Her business grew through hard work and perseverance due to the school's reputation in dance excellence. The school relocated down the street to a bigger facility due to its growth in enrollment; and,
WHEREAS, The Christine Belpedio's School of Dance is proudly supported by a faculty of professional dance instructors and a wide variety of classes: Pre-Ballet/Creative Movement, Acrobatics, Ballet, Tap, Ballet/Tap, Ballet/Tumbling, Pre-Pointe, Pointe, Contemporary, Breakdancing, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Latin Dance, and Flamenco. They are committed to giving back to the greater community by offering Quinceafiera, Sweet Sixteen, and Wedding dance packages; and,
WHEREAS, The Christine Belpedio's School of Dance strives to provide the best possible pre-professional training for aspiring artists and dancers in a fun, healthy, and nurturing environment. They seek to have a profound, positive impact on their dancers, in all areas of life. Because of the elite nature of the profession, only a few will go on to pursue a career in dance. But when dancers begin here at the Christine Belpedio's School of Dance, they cultivate a confidence, a commitment, a self-discipline, and a passion they can take with them always, wherever they go; and,
WHEREAS, On September 13, 2017, the Christine Belpedio's School of Dance will be hosting their 40th Anniversary party; and now therefore;
