Declaration of November 1,2018 as "Irv Loundv Day" in Chicago
WHEREAS, Irving "Irv" Loundy has vigorously and professionally served the community-banking prdlegsiaM, for sixty years, becoming synonymous with the good work of Devon Bank; and f
WHEREAS, Mr. Loundy has tirelessly served his customers and worked to address their needs and
WHEREAS, Mr. Loundy has been an important leader to the Rogers Park community, collaborating with many civic organizations including, but not limited to, the West Rogers Park Economic Development Committee, West Ridge Chamber of Commerce, 24th District Police Advisory Committee, West Ridge Community Organization, and the Rogers Park Builders Group; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Loundy is dedicated to the mission of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois, which is to keep community banks competitive for the benefit of customers and the communities they serve through the delivery of quality education, effective representation, and essential products and services; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Loundy's contributions to the economic vitality of the city of Chicago and his continued dedication to fulfilling the credit needs of Rogers Park-residents make him a true Chicagoan of note; and
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirty-first day of October 2018 C.E., do hereby recognize November 1, 2018 to be "Irving Loundy Day" in Chicago in honor of his sixty years of excellent service and leadership; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Irving Loundy. A
