MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Thomas R. "Coach" Mitchell was called to his eternal reward on January 22, 2013; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Mitchell was an active and vital member of his community. The beloved husband of Marianne; loving father of Timothy, Thomas R. Jr. (Karen) Mitchell; dear grandfather of Ryan and Jimmy; devoted son of the late Marie and James Mitchell; loving brother of Jim (Mary), Jack (Dorothy), Richard (Sandra), Joe, Betty (Bob), Casey, Mike (Judy) Margaret (Ed) Stover, the late Gene (Bobbi) and Donna (the late Fred), Thomas Mitchell leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Mitchell will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirteenth day of February 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Thomas R. Mitchell and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas R. Mitchell.
