RESOLUTION

 

 

WHEREAS, God in His infinite Wisdom has called Christine V Doherty to her eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Christine V 'Chris' Doherty (nee Hennigan), age 83, has passed into eternal life. Beloved wife ofthe late John 'Jack' retired CFD. Loving mother of Deborah Flint, Michael CFD 221-A (Michele), and John Lt CPD004 (Deborah). Proud grandmother of Brian, Daniel, Christopher CPD Sgt. 640, Nicholas, John III, and Christopher. Caring great-grandmother of Blake. Extended grandmother to Julie, Brittany, Martin, Cynthia, and Fabi. Fond sister ofthe late Helen (Jack) Morrissey, Kathleen (late Ed retired CFD) Smith, James Hennigan, retired CPD 640. Sister in-law of Sheila (late John) Carey, Vincent (late Joan), late Thomas (late June), late Martin CFD (late Mary), late Kevin CFD (Penny), late Bernard CFD (Pauline), late Gerald and the late Anna Mae (late Ronald) Michaels. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Beloved cousin and friend to many. Special dog mom to Murphy; and

WHERAS, Christine V Doherty was the past President of St. Symphorosa Super Club, former St. Symphorosa Eucharistic minister, former American Legion Women's Auxiliary member Post #1112, past St. Symphorosa Minister of Care, St. Symphorosa Prayer Partner, St. Symphorosa Liturgical Minister, Member of St. Vincent DePaul Society, and regular Cook County Election Judge. Christine V Doherty leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this seventeenth day of November, 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Christine V Doherty and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Christine V Doherty.
