City Council October 14th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Johnny Balzano Sr has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Johnny Balzano Sr, Beloved husband ofthe late Margaret "Margie" (nee Maggio); loving father and best friend of Gina (David) Marano, Paul (the late Ceal), Johnny Jr. (Natalie), Ruth Ann (Joseph) Fratto, and the late Marty Balzano; beloved son of the late Paul and Florence Balzano; dear grandfather of Lauren, Jaclyn (Chris), Anthony (Erica), Paul, Gina (fiance Paul), Francesca, Gianna, Johnny 111 (Alexa), Joey (Kelly), Nicholas (fiance Gianna), and Michael; great grandfather of Michael John, Carson, Anthony, and Johnny IV "JB"; dear brother of Ginny (Vic) Faraci, and Paula (Tony) Pascente; brother-in-law of Jackie (Buddy) DiVittorio, and the late Marty (Rosalie) Maggio; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, Johnny was a proud member of the Old Neighborhood Italian American Club; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Johnny to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this fourteenth of October 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Johnny Balzano Sr and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
