RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite Wisdom has called Karen Orahood to her eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Karen Orahood nee Woods, 63. Born into eternal life on March 19, 2015. Lifetime resident ofthe Southwest side of Chicago, of Clearing neighborhood. Beloved wife of Carl H. Orahood. Devoted mother of Thomas and Timothy Orahood. Loving grandmother of Carl Michael Orahood. Proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nancy nee Woods and siblings. Karen Orahood leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this fifteenth day of April, 2015, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Karen Orahood and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Karen Orahood.
