MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, It was with deep sadness that members of this chamber learned if the April 14, 2013 death of Henry J. Pryor at the age of 93; and
 
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Hank Pryor was an active and vital member of his community. The loving husband of Adele, nee Krupnik, for over sixty-four years; dear father of Carolynn Pryor and Jeff (Karin) Pryor; adoring grandpa and number one fan of Adam and Benjamin Pryor; brother of the late Eugenia (the late Ted) Dziedzic; uncle of many nieces and nephews, Hank leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
 
WHEREAS, Hank had a long and distinguished career, serving as a Pilot in the United States Navy during World War II and as a member ofthe product design team for Motorola's first cell phone. In addition, Hank was a talented artist, painting watercolor landscapes; and
 
WHEREAS, Hank will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
 
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this eighth day of May 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Henry J. Pryor and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
