MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Sister M. Septemia Partyka, C.S.S.F., was called by God to her eternal reward on April 14, 2013, at Our Lady ofthe Angels Convent; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, An active and vital member of her community, Sister M. Septemia Partyka was the beloved daughter of the late John and Ann; beloved sister of Francis, the late Helen, the late Bernice and the late Mary Ann; and

WHEREAS, As a beloved member of the Felician Sisters Community for eighty years Sister Septemia leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and

WHEREAS, Sister Septemia will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this eighth day of May 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Sister M. Septemia Partyka, and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sister M. Septemia Partyka.
