RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman, a retired Chicago Alderman and community leader, will observe the joyous occasion of her Seventieth Birthday on February 18, 2013; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this event by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman was raised in St. Hyacinth Parish on the Northwest Side and graduated from Holy Family Academy and Wright Junior College; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her life, the Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman has always excelled as a community leader on the Northwest Side where her generosity and kindness have touched the lives of countless people; and
WHEREAS, As a young woman, the Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman volunteered at area hospitals and helped out at Holy Family Convent; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman later organized annual Halloween parties for children's at Kelvin Park and Christmas parties for the elderly at area nursing homes; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman is a former 30th Ward Alderman and a protege and former assistant to the Honorable Ted Lechowicz, the 30th Ward Committeeman, Senator and Cook County Commissioner; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman remains a member of the City of Chicago's Senior Advisory Council; and
WHEREAS, A woman of dignity, grace and charm, the Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman is the mother of Deborah and Matthew Bialczek and the wife of Stuart Goldman; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman's top priority is lovingly doting over her two grandchildren, Veronica and Liam Filbin; anci
WHEREAS, Surrounded by family members, friends and colleagues, the Honorable Carole Bialczek-Goldman will celebrate her Seventieth Birthday at a gathering to be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the Medinah Shrine Center, 550 North Shriners Drive, Addison, Illinois; now, therefore
