City Council January 27th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Juan Jose Saenz has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 61 to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Juan Jose Saenz, Beloved son to the late Jos6 and Elena Saenz, He was the third of five children; Juan leaves behind to cherish his meaningful memory his long-time partner, Elizabeth Kuziela; 10 children, Dominic, Nina, Erica, Marisa, Leticia, Lilliana, Laura, Joseph, Venicio, and Angelina; one grandchild, Elena; four siblings, Rufino, Neila, Martha and Hedilberto, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and
WHEREAS, Juan loved to spend time with family, chatting with friends and enjoying the company of his nephews and nieces. He was a charismatic storyteller, beloved partner, caring father, and a humorous friend. He was a die-hard Bears fan, he always cheered on the White Sox, and reminisced the glory days of Michael Jordan & the Bulls. He always checked-in on others, loved sharing life experiences & lessons, and dreamt of better futures for his children; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Juan to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty seventh of January 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Juan Jose Saenz and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Juan Jos6 Saenz.
