MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR ROGELIA RIVERA
WHEREAS, it is with great sadness that the members of this Chamber have learned of the death of Rogelia Rivera on February 8, 2019 at the age of seventy-four; and
WHEREAS, members of the Council of the City of Chicago have been informed of her passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Rogelia was born on September 16, 1944 and led a full and accomplished life. Her greatest pride and joy was her family, to whom she bequeaths a legacy of faith, dignity, and love; and
WHEREAS, Rogelia leaves to cherish her memory: her loving daughters, Armida, Sandra, Lucy, and Elia; cherished niece, Betty; and, a host of extended family and treasured friends; and
WHEREAS, Rogelia touched the lives of all who knew her through her unconditional love and vivacious spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this tenth day of April, 2019, do hereby extend our heartfelt cbridolences to the family of Rogelia Rivera; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution will be presented to the family of Rogelia Rivera as a sign of our sympathy and respect.
