BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:



SECTION 1. Pursuant to an ordinance heretofore passed by the City Council which allows erection of honorary street-name signs, the Commissioner of Transportation shall take the necessary action for standardization of West 18th Street, from South Paulina Street to South Wood Street as "Avenida Carmen Escarzaga".

Carmen Escarzaga, 65, passed-away suddenly on Wednesday, Aug: 24th, 2016 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, fllinpis sur-rounded by her family Ms. Carmen Escarzaga ¦ known to her students as "Maestra Carmen" was a.devptedcosrhe-tology instructor, who dedicated her life to her students, customers and family. owner, a life coach, a mentor, and loving mother. She died doing what she loved best, cutting hair.
