Resolution Honoring the Life of Lee Tasker Jones, Jr.
WHEREAS, On April 25, 2011, Lee Tasker Jones Jr. was called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones grew up as one of twenty-two children in Paulding, Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones lived much of his life in the City of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones was a successful entrepreneur who provided honest and reliable cleaning services to support the businesses of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones demonstrated in his many years of service his tremendous work ethic and superior attention to details; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones was an avid sports fan dedicated to the teams of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones was a positive and loving role model for his six children and seven grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones will be remembered by his friends and colleagues as a friendly and compassionate man; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the City Council members ofthe City of Chicago assembled this fourth day May, 2011, do hereby commemorate Lee Tasker Jones Jr. for his life of grace and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lee Tasker Jones, Jr.
