RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, the LEARN Charter School, South Chicago, a proud member of the College Prep Network, will be celebrating their fifth 8th Grade graduation ceremony consisting of thirty-two (32) students at 10:00am at the Ray and Joan KROC Center, 1250 W. 119th Street, Chicago, IL; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this by the 10th Ward Alderwoman Susan Sadowski Garza; and

WHEREAS, the LEARN Charter School, South Chicago, a proud member of the College Prep Network, opened in 2010, and shares the building with J. N. Thorp Elementary School at 8914 South Buffalo, Chicago, IL in the historic South Chicago neighborhood; and

WHEREAS, LEARN South Chicago Campus is a Pre-Kindergarten-thru-Eighth grade school with approximately four hundred thirty students; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago, gathered here in assembly this Twentieth Day of May 2020, do herby extend our congratulations to the LEARN Charter School, South Chicago for the fifth 8^th Grade graduation ceremony; and

Susan Sadowski Garza 10th Ward Alderwoman

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to all LEARN Charter School South Chicago graduates on this auspicious occasion.
