At the request of the Commissioner of Fleet and Facility Management, I transmit herewith ordinances authorizing the execution of lease agreements.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1: The Commissioner of the Department of Fleet and Facility Management and the Commissioner of the Department of Housing and Economic Development are authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Chicago, as Landlord, a Lease with NeighborSpace, as Tenant, for NeighborSpace's use of approximately 22,000 square feet of vacant City-owned owned property located at 4235 North Neenah Avenue for community gardening; such Lease to be approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel in substantially the following form:

SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be effective from and after the date of its passage
and approval.

THIS LEASE is made and entered into this day of , 2013 (the
"Commencement Date") by and between, the CITY OF CHICAGO, an Illinois Municipal Corporation and Home Rule Unit of Government (herein referred to as "Landlord" or "City"), and NEIGHBORSPACE, an Illinois not-for-profit corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Tenant").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, Landlord is the owner ofthe premises more commonly known as 4235 North Neenah Avenue, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the property located at 4235 North Neenah Avenue is comprised of approximately 22,000 square feet of vacant land and has no present municipal use; and
WHEREAS, Tenant is an organization that was formed to develop, sustain, and expand public community gardens; and
