City Council July 21st, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Reverend Michael Joseph Bowler has been called to: eternal life by the wisdom of God to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman ofthe 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Michael Joseph Bowler, beloved.son ofthe late Michael and late Nora (nee Fitzgerald); loving brother of the late Reverend Thomas and late John Patriek (Mary Joan); fond uncle of John Patrick Bowler and Maureen Kdenig; great uncle of many; and
WHEREAS, Fr. Bowler was a Chicago Afchdiocesan priest for 64 years, he was ordained May 9, 1957 and served at St. Thomas Moore, Resurrection, Visitation, St. Eugene, St. Cornelius, St. Bcmadinc, St. Mary of Perpetual Help, St. Turibius, arid retired February I, 2001; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to.the fullesfendeared Fr. Bowler to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty first of July 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Reverend Michael Joseph Bowler and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Reverend Michael Joseph Bowler.
